

The year 2002 saw the advent of Simran’s Aappa Kadai in Dubai with 4 branches and 3 in Chennai, India. With a clear focus, to provide its customers, the most authentic Indian flavours, the restaurant soon became a favourite not only with Indians but also with food lovers across all nationalities. Little wonder that this multi-cuisine affair also won its share of awards and accolades.
Simran’s Aappa Kadai is an all-day restaurant serving both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food in a wide range of cuisines like Aappams, Chettinad, Tandoori, Chinese and North Indian. From our well trained chefs to our detail towards hygiene, everything here is world class. In fact our open kitchen allows our guests to indulge in food like never before. The restaurant also offers the facility of delivering food at home and has take-away counters at all locations and is open from 11am to 11pm.
It’s the subtle mix of spices with a dash of our experience that leaves our guests craving for more, every single time. Our signature dish, the aappam is served in various mouth-watering combinations like the Chicken Kheema Aappam, Bull’s Eye Egg Aappam and Aappam with Chicken Stew.
The Team
Arul Raj
A qualified Chartered Accountant (Rank Holder, one among top 50 in India) and also a Cost and Works Accountant. Born and brought up in Mumbai, India and lived in Dubai for last 20 years, worked for large multinational IT Distribution Companies at senior levels. Left a lucrative and comfortable job and started Simran’s Aappa kadai as a Sole Proprietor way back in early 2002.
Always puts Guests and employees before money and profits. Interested in seeing more customers in the Restaurant than seeing more money in the bank account. Truly believes all the employees working for Simran’s Aappa kadai are his family members, and constantly works towards adding value to them and progressing them within the organization and in their lives.
Karthikeyan
Joined Simran’s Aappa Kadai on 3rd November 2002 as a South Indian Cook. Progressed through the ranks and currently holds the position of Director – Chennai Operations. His relentless and passionate hard work has made Simran’s Aappa Kadai scale new peaks. Highly positive attitude and ever ready to change and learn new things, has elevated Karthik from a Cook to a Director. He sets an example for others in the industry as to what a person can scale-up-to if one is passionately committed to an organization.
Anandan
Joined Simran’s Aappa Kadai on 31st December 2003 as a Chinese Cook. Progressed through the ranks and currently holds the position of General Manager – U.A.E. (Dubai) Operations. A very systematic and methodical person holding Catering Diploma. We can’t expect anything less from Anand ! Always in the pursuit of quality in his work and in his offering to our guests, may it be food quality or selecting quality products for cooking. Good on people, manages and motivates his team very well.
Naina Mohamed
You can’t steal the smile from his face ! Joined Simran’s Aappa Kadai on 15th January 2004 as a Steward and progressed through the ranks and currently holds the position of Operations Manager OMR (Chennai). A very easy and comfortable person to interact with and very good with Guests. Holds a Catering Diploma and strives hard for quality in service. He is probably one of the very few people in the world who can maintain a smile despite highly pressurized situations on crowded weekends.
